Failure performance | Cause | Troubleshooting steps | Solution |
Turn on the machine, the display doesn't light up | The display wire loosing or damaged | Check whether the display wire loose or damaged | Reseat the display wire/replace the display wire |
Filament doesn't flow out of nozzle | Nozzle is blocked | Confirm that the tube has been inserted to the end, and re-select load filament to check whether the nozzle is blocked | According to the video to clean the nozzle, if it can't be clean, replace the Hotend |
Extruder gear doesn't rotate | Check the extruder motor wire loose or damage | Re-plug the extruder motor wire, if it still doesn't work, replace the motor wire
Fan doesn't spin | Check if the fan wire is plugged | Re-plug the fan wire port, or it doesn't rotate, replace the fan
Nozzle temperature doesn't rise | The heating wire is loosing or damaged | Re-plug the print head heating wire | Re-plug the heating wire can't solve the fault, replace the Hotend |
The temperature measurement wire is loosing or damaged | Re-plug the temperature measurement wire | Re-plug the temperature measurement wire cannot solve the fault, replace the Hotend
The 26P cable is loosing, damaged or dropped | Re-plug the 26P cable | Re-plugg the 26P cable can't solve the fault, replace the 26P cable
Filament spilling out of side of nozzle | The nozzle is damaged | Replace the Hotend
The screen shows Heating failed or Thermal Runaway | The platform heating wire failure failure | The platform heating wire is loosing or damaged | Re-plug the platform heating wire cannot solve the fault, replace the platform heating wire |
The platform temperature measurement wire failure | The platform temperature measurement wire is loosing or damaged | Re-plug the platform temperature measurement wire can't solve the fault, replace the platform temperature measurement wire.
The screen shows homing failed | The limit switch is damaged | Click auto home , and observe whether the nozzle and platform have been colliding and making noise after moving. If so, it may be that the switch is in poor contact or the switch wire is loosing | If there is no noise in the printer, first check whether the belt falls off or not. If not, you can re-plug the motor cable. If the machine has noise, you can unplug the limit switch cable according to the direction of the abnormal noise. |
The limit switch wire is loosing
The motor wire is loosing | Click auto home to observe whether the nozzle moves up and down (Z motor), left and right (X motor), and whether the platform moves back and forth (Y motor); if not, the motor wire or belt may be loosing
The belt is loosing | |||
Nozzle keeps hitting the platform | Proximity switch height is wrong | The distance between the proximity switch and the nozzle is too high or too low | Re-adjust the distance between proximity switch and nozzle to 2mm |
The proximity switch wire is loosing or damaged | Re-plug the proximity switch wire
The proximity switch is damaged | Use a metal tool to approach the bottom of the proximity switch to observe whether the red light of the proximity switch is on | If the red light is off ,you needs to replaced the proximity switch
The model curls around | Platform temperature is not enough | Check whether the display wire loosing or damaged | Increase the platform temperature or apply solid glue on the platform |
Filament printing irregularities | The gap of nozzle is too large | Confirm whether the distance between the nozzle and the platform is the height of 1 sheet of A4 paper | Re-adjust the gap between the nozzle to the distance of 1 sheet of A4 paper and save it. |
The model doesn't add supports | Check if the model has overhangs part where no supports are added when slicing | When the tilt angle of the model is bigger than 45°, needs to added support .
Whether the model is placed flat and placed in the middle of the platform when slicing | Check the model file placement angle and position | Readjust the model placement for slicing
print model misplaced | Model file has pronblem | Print the test file to determine whether it is a accessorie failure of the machine. If the test file is also misplaced, check the synchronous pulley and belt according to the direction of the model misalignment. | Replace model file and reprint |
The belt is loosing | Adjust the belt tension
Model printing missing parts |
Proximity switch failure | Check whether the proximity switch is faulty | Replace a new proximity switch |
Z axis movement isn't smooth | Apply silicone grease to the screw
There is residue inside the nozzle, resulting discharge not smooth | Clean the nozzle
Model drawing | Filament is wet | Change the filament
The temperature of printing is too high | Print X40 Temperature Tower File | Reset the temperature according to the print result
When printing the modelsudden pause | The Runout Sensor is failure | The printing stopped in the middle, and the right nozzle continued to hit the left nozzle after restarting the machine | Turn off the Runout Sensor, or replace the broken wire detection switch |
The model position isn't in the middle of the platform, and the model is suspended for printing | Select wrong type of printer when slicing | Check whether the wrong type of printer is selected when slicing | Choose the correct type of printer before slicing |
